Experiential learning for student success
At ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥, we're committed to helping your student achieve their academic and career goals. From summer internships and on-campus research to co-op programs and practicums, experiential learning opportunities give your student hands-on experience to set them up for success in their future careers.
You can play a key role in your student's journey by:

The well-being and success of students is a top priority at U of I. A variety of resources are ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ to provide academic, emotional and personal support to your student.
Counseling and Mental Health Center: Professional counseling services, crisis support and wellness programs can help your student manage stress and maintain mental well-being.
VandalCARE: A resource if your student may need extra support due to personal challenges, safety concerns or academic difficulties.
Office of the Dean of Students: Advocates for your student’s needs, the office provides guidance on university policies and connects students with resources to support their success.
Academic Support Services: U of I provides academic resources — including tutoring, advising, writing support and time management tools — to help your student succeed with coursework, devise study strategies, academic planning and more.
Vandal Food Pantry: If your student needs assistance, this free, donation-driven resource provides non-perishable food, household essentials and hygiene products to all.
Vandal Alert: ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥'s emergency notification system is the quickest way to receive immediate, emergency information such as weather closures or delays and unexpected safety issues. Sign up to receive emergency alerts.
