March 2026
- Priority room selection timeslot notifications.

- Priority room selection begins; check your time slot.
- General room selection for all first-year freshman.
- Vandal ready next steps go live: Select fall classes, on-campus housing and sign up for new student orientation.
- Make hotel reservations for your family for move-in at the start of school.
- UIdaho Bound event dates start. UIdaho Bound is UIdaho’s main event for admitted students and is a great place to meet with an advisor, tour on-campus housing options and get your VandalCard.
- Award notifications begin for new students. Watch your for notification and log in to MyUI to review financial aid awards.
- Awards should be accepted and promissory notes signed for funds to be disbursed by the first day of school. Make sure promissory notes and entrance counseling have been completed. and do not have to be signed each semester.
- The first direct deposit of residual funds will be sent to banks by the first day of the spring semester.
- Students and families should review finances to make sure expenses are covered for the upcoming semester.
May 2026
- ADA housing accommodations priority deadline.

June 2026
- Room selection closes, housing application remains open.

- Deadline June 1: Accept financial aid awards. New borrowers sign a and complete the process online.
- If a Parent PLUS loan is accepted, a parent must and sign a .
- Send all final transcripts to the Office of Admissions.
- Verify campus housing: If you haven’t already, register for fraternity or sorority recruitment or reserve your room in the residence halls.
- Make sure your family has hotel reservations for move-in at the start of school. Rooms fill up fast.
July 2026
- Last day to cancel without a cancellation fee.
- Check the first-year students housing application process for more details.
- Fall university billing statements are sent to students registered for the fall semester. Statements will reflect accepted financial aid awards including loans if all requirements are complete.
- Make sure promissory notes and have been completed.
- Review finances to make sure tuition and fees, room and board and book expenses are covered.
- Financial aid counselors are ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ to assist students and families in determining options.

- If you’re planning to bring a car to campus, buy your parking permit.
August 2026
- Awards must be accepted and all requirements completed for funds to be disbursed by the first day of school.
- First-time recipients of a work-study award should plan to attend a work-study orientation. Previous recipients may pick up job referrals in our office after classes start.
- The first direct deposit of residual funds will be sent to banks by the first day of the fall semester. Banks may take a few days to process.
- Attend New Student Orientation.

September 2026
- Last day to drop/add a course and other academic calendar dates, or register, see Registrar.
- Credits are locked on day 10 of the semester (U of I Census Date), and aid is processed accordingly.
- Accept any remaining financial aid awards, if necessary.
- New borrowers for spring semester must sign a and complete online.
