Support resources for law students
From your first day as a law student, you’ll be deeply engaged in your education — analyzing, reflecting, critiquing and creating. You’ll develop comprehensive legal expertise, high-level reasoning and critical thinking abilities, and superb written and verbal communication skills.
At the College of Law, we’re committed to supporting you as you reach your full academic potential. Benefit from an inclusive, student-centered learning environment with the support of our dedicated academic success faculty. We help you develop critical academic and personal well-being skills that will serve you throughout law school and your legal career. Our mission is to ensure you are equipped for success inside and outside the classroom.
Academic support in the College of Law
The Academic Success Program at Idaho Law starts before your first day, offering valuable summer resources and preparatory modules.
First-year programming includes orientation sessions to build key skills for success in law school and beyond, along with the Academic Success Fellows Program, where top upper-classmen in the college offer one-on-one support. Upper-level programming is designed to enhance skills needed for bar exam prep and practical lawyering tasks.
Academic coaching
Academic coaching is designed to help you achieve your educational and professional goals. Through the Academic Success Program, faculty members provide personalized support to help you tackle challenges like legal reasoning, time management and overall well-being. Personalized one-on-one coaching with law faculty members offers tailored guidance to boost your skills and enrich your law school experience.
Academic planning
At the College of Law, you will be responsible for your academic planning, including course selection, progress toward graduation and bar exam preparation.
