The International Programs Office (IPO) is your gateway to global engagement. We serve U of I international students, scholars, employees and family members. and students seeking education abroad experiences for summer, semester and academic year terms. We're here to support your journey.
IPO is here to assist with:
- Immigration and visa guidance for people coming to U of I and going overseas
- Personalized advising for incoming and outgoing students and scholars
- Arrival, departure and transition assistance
- Employment authorization
- Local activities s and cultural programming

Our office location
The International Programs Office, housing both International Services and Education Abroad, is in the Living Learning Community, Building #3. (right next to the Student Housing Help Desk).
International Services Office Hours: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pacific time Monday through Friday at the International Programs Office (IPO).
