Returning U of I students
÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ wants to welcome you back! Whether you prefer online learning or the traditional on-campus experience in Moscow, we're here to support you on your path to earning your degree.
You may already qualify for a degree
Whether you left U of I recently or years ago, your college credits might still add up to a degree.
- To qualify for an A.A. or A.S. degree, you must complete 60 credits, including all General Education requirements.
- To qualify for your Bachelor’s degree, you must complete 120 credits, including all General Education requirements.
Finding 2020 – special support for COVID-affected students
Were you admitted to U of I in the Spring or Fall of 2020 or Spring of 2021 but left before finishing your degree?
The Finding 2020 initiative offers you the opportunity to return to U of I as part of a cohort of students who also began their college careers during the pandemic. You’ll receive personalized academic support through academic coaching, tutoring and advising that fits your unique perspective and needs.

Returning students and working professionals sometimes need small scholarships to get them across the degree finish line. The Vandal Finish Fund supports tuition, fees and book costs for students who are only a few credits away from completing their degree.
