Boise alumni business, Flashpoint Building Systems, has a process that simplifies construction. Laser-etching housing outlines onto sub-flooring so the builders can Lego their way to build a building. The alumni are working with U of I professors to test their product.

Business and industry are valuable partners in ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ research, scholarly and creative activities. The Office of Research and Economic Development (ORED) helps partners launch, maintain and benefit from collaborations with U of I researchers and license university-developed technologies.
